Client Case Studies, Results, & Outcomes - Cedarville University

A private institution in Ohio desired to more strategically use financial aid to increase NTR.

Although the University had increased its discount rate in fall 2009, enrollments declined. Therefore, Scannell & Kurz was invited in to analyze the price sensitivity of the freshman admit pool and recommend changes in awarding strategies for fall 2010.

Results of Our Work Together

After implementing the recommended strategies, enrollments recovered and NTR increased by $2.6M. Average ACT scores also improved slightly.

Client Feedback

"The S&K team spent time getting to know us, asking challenging questions, and delivering solid recommendations that fit who we are. They didn't simply propose a financial aid fix, they offered broad solutions to help us communicate, recruit, andserve new students as effectively as possible. S&K has been a partner, not just a consultant. As we worked toward Board approvals, their team took the extra time to answer specific questions, participate in conference calls, and provide every level of support required to make a data-driven case for this new financial aid paradigm."
