On July 27 Jim Scannell and Kathy Kurz delivered their presentation They Came, They Paid, They Stayed:  Best Enrollment Management Practices from the Field to presidents and CEOs of United Methodist-related schools, colleges, and universities at the National Association of Schools & Colleges of The United Methodist Church (NASCUMC) Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Florida.  During the discussion they shared best practices in recruiting, funding, and retaining students.

Given the increasingly competitive environment, the “new normal” economic climate, and constrained resources, all institutions need to be concerned about such questions as:

  • How does a college effectively focus limited recruitment resources where they will make the most difference?
  • How can an institution know that its financial aid awarding strategies are still effective given the new economic environment?
  • What retention practices have proven effective at other institutions, and how can you tell if they are right for your institution?

A copy of the presentation can be downloaded here.
